Lilac Breasted Roller MD

p>These gloriously coloured birds can often be spotted perched conspicuously on the top of bushes, telephone poles or trees, sometimes swooping to the ground to catch prey. Their food consists of insects, scorpions, frogs centipedes, small snakes, lizards, small birds and rodents. They are found in the northern parts of South Africa, in the lowveld and north to Angola and Ethiopia.
